Ingredients
For the Donuts
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup Vital Proteins Vanilla & Coconut Water Collagen Peptides
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 3/4 cup milk
- 3 tbsp coconut oil melted
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- Liquid food coloring
- Colored sprinkles (optional)
For the Icing
- 1 1/2 tbsp milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 scoop Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides
- Food coloring
Instructions
For the donuts
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Mix flour, baking powder, salt, and Vanilla & Coconut collagen peptides together in a bowl then set aside.
- In another bowl, beat egg and sugar together. Add milk, vanilla, and coconut oil and mix until completely mixed.
- Stir in flour mixture, mixing only until the lumps are gone.
- Spilt batter evenly among the number of bowls you want different colors.
- Add 1-2 drops of food coloring to the bowls and mix until you achieve the color you want.
- Fill greased or sprayed mini-donut pans about 1/2 full with colored batter. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean and the donuts are no longer sticky to the touch.
- Remove immediately and allow to cool on a cooling rack.
For the Icing
- Mix all ingredients in a bowl and beat together until smooth.
- Split icing into bowls, one per color you want.
- Add 1-2 drops of food coloring and mix until you achieve the color you want.
- Once donuts are cooled, dip gently into the matching color icing and sit on piece of parchment paper to dry. Top with colored sprinkles and eat.
